Orange County Crowns (Caps)
Newport Beach, California

Crowns cover the entire visible surface of your affected tooth and add strength, durability and stability to the tooth. Here are a few of the reasons why a Crown maybe the solution for your dental problems.

  • Broken or Fractured Teeth
  • Decayed Teeth
  • Fractured Fillings
  • Cosmetic Enhancement

Dental crowns are more advanced because of today’s technology. Dental crowns can be fabricated to look like natural teeth. There are several types of crowns, porcelain (tooth colored crown) are the most popular, because they resemble your natural teeth.   Porcelain crowns are made to match the size, shape and color of your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile.

A crown procedure usually requires two appointments:

Your first appointment will include preparing the tooth by removing any decay and shaping the tooth’s surface to insure a proper fitting crown. Next we take several highly accurate impressions that will be used to create the mold for your custom crown. The mold will be sent to the laboratory to create the new crown.  A mold will also be used to create your replacement crown. Your temporary crown will stay on your tooth for approximately two weeks.

At your second appointment your temporary crown will be removed, the tooth will be cleaned, and your new crown will be carefully placed to ensure the proper fit and bite for your mouth.
